How to focus the eyes with only 3 focus points.

I guess I'll be the jerk who asks how you got to f/1.4 with a f/1.8 lens? And ask why not push the AF lock button once you have the focus you want?

Other than that, I'll go with the suggestion of smaller aperture until you get the right DOF you're looking for.
