How would you shoot this scene?

Backdrop stand to camera left, 8x10 foot diffusion panel, further most edge of the diffuser at the leading edge of the grille, monolight at rooftop height pointing slightly down about 4 feet behind the diffuser.

Measure ambient and note x aperture and y shutter speed. Set monolight to 1.33 stops over ambient aperture -adjusting camera- and leave shutter speed the same then finalize in post.

HDR is a possibility, but the scene is very strongly backlit and it would most likely be a battle in post. Not saying that's a bad thing. I likea processing challenge here and there just as much as the next guy.

But if you could get light on the car and properly expose the background, that would be the best bet. Get it right in camera!

"Set monolight to 1.33 stops over ambient aperture" Not sure what you mean by this. If I'm at f4.5, how do you set a mono light 1.33 stops over that?
