Hummingbird in the Woods

Cool... :)

For both photos I ran them through a couple different filters. I use Paint Shop Pro predominately, so not sure if photoshop has equivelants of what I used.

I firstly ran them through a saturation filter to bring out the colors a little bolder.

Secondly I ran them through the "Salt and Pepper" filter. Which basically looks for specks of grain at whatever pixel size you choose, and removes them replacing them with what they are surrounded by. Usually this is what I use on my photos. For these shots however, it removed more detail than I cared for in the bird and such. So then I ran them through "Edge Preserving Smooth" instead. Which I thought looked a lot better, since less crucial data seemed to be removed. I uploaded both for each photos for comparison.
