Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello. I'm a brand new member and this is my first photo posted.

I had been struggling to get what I called "National Geographic" shots of hummingbirds.
Then, it all fell into place. I really felt the culmination of years of practice, having good equipment, a great setting, and tons of activity.

I love this shot. It reminds me of a ballerina doing a curtsy after a performance. Probably not Nat Geo worthy but see what you think.

You hit sixer on the very first ball!

It's a superb picture, a great timing!

Thank you!
Based on your location I'm guessing that a "sixer" is a cricket reference?

I was not able to get any good shots of the male in flight but I did get this.
We all called him "King Tweet" since he was such a jackwagon, constantly chasing the others (even the females??!!) away.

And one more from the same series.
Its a bit of an odd pose, too awkward?

Awkward or not I like the last one best. Well done!

They look pretty darn good!

Lovely series. Given how territorial they are, I'm impressed you got a picture of two at the same feeder.

There was lots of dive-bombing, tweeting, and bad behavior in general.
The male was the true bully and would chase any others. The females would, on occasion, cooperate when the male was occupied.

The main offender..
