Hunting Season

Bug photography is a lot like hunting, you need to stalk, not scare of your prey, and shoot. Very difficult to get a good shot with the mildest of breezes. I'm always looking for tips on how to improve.

The thing that works for me is to shoot LOTS of photos, and hope one turns out to be acceptable. As they say, " Throw enough at the wall and something is bound to stick!". If I shot film, I'd probably never venture into the insect world, haha.

Nice set and you may already know this tip but just in case you don't or others haven't heard, it helps on a breezy day if you grab the stem of the whatever they're sitting on and hold it as still as you can.
