I have seen this little bugger at first way up the tree at the bottom of a small canyon. after 1/2 hours waiting, I went up the canyon to get a better shot,
he flew away. So I've started following it in deep snow up to my knee, for
about 4 km. Finally got it....

Hey thanks Ron, I did not know it's name

Nice! Very nice! I've seen almost every other woodpecker know to man but that one. What equipment were you using?

You need to borrow Ron's snowshoes for that deep snow!

I was thinking of getting that 50 mm lens you have .How do you like it ?

For the money isn't not a bad lens, but if you've got a M42 adaptor, get the Takumar 55mm 1.8. I've got it, and it's sharper, but if you don't, then that other isn't to bad either. It's hard to go wrong with any 50ish mm lenses from any manufacture. (not just Pentax line)
