Huntsman's Tower in the Snow

I was walking Toby when we got caught in a snow flurry (the white blotches lower right are snowflakes blowing past the lens). I had my 10D in my rucksack and took this in raw (rare for me). I'm quite pleased with the outcome and would appreciate any comments suggestions.

Thanks, Timor. There are no natural big predators like wolves or lynx here anymore so this is how the population of deer, boar, fox, et al, is controlled. This Jägersitz is quite a large one by usual standards but they are part of the landscape roundabouts.

There was no conscious effort on my part to make this look like film; perhaps it's typical of my style and in keeping with my preferences, and, having seen some examples of shots I've taken with film, the similarities might have come to the fore when viewing this photo. Anyway, I take it as a compliment and confirmation that the B&W conversion from the raw file was at least quite reasonable

Don't get me wrong. I am not against selective hunting. It is just management. Ontario, where I live now, didn't issue single bear hunting license in 20 years. In effect human/bear encounters are frequent and not very nice. Right now behind my backyard, just a city park, I have few families of deer and coyotes. Gardens are devastated and dogs eaten. Lol. And that in the middle of a city with few million people. Lol.
