I knew you'd chime in on this one.

I do like playing with odd subjects and trying to create a pleasing composition.
It's it's not always a pretty picture though.

I love banal (not that this fits that definition), but I find it very difficult to pull off.
I rank it up there with "good" street photography as far as difficulty - perhaps harder.
There's a very thin line between excellent and crap.

Drab yellow.
With rust.

My biggest problem with the shot is that the snow is sharper than the hydrant.
I think I missed focus a touch.

It's a metal flag so the plows know it's they when the snow piles up.
