The piggies might be less than happy if they did see it. I don't know for sure, but I would strongly assume that they would pull you over and depending on the law, possibly either ticket or arrest you. I wouldn't do it, but it sounds funny!

Because its funny! I agree with you, but if I was having a rough day driving either to or from work and saw that, it would give me a good laugh!!

Maybe that is the conundrum. Should we only watch G rated movies in our cars? As long as I am not drunk and obey the rules of the road shouldn't I be able to do what I want? Not like I am hurting anyone. How is the privacy of my car different then the privacy of my home? Maybe they just put dvd players in cars for the kids.

A civilian must fill a compliant. i recall hearing about a party bus company in South Florida with TV that could be seen from outside the bus. A few people completed to local TV station that you could see porn for the street. Company rearranged the TVs so they could not be seen. But I think the company in now out of business. Their bus was hit by a drunk drive, some of riders on the bus where underage and drunk themselves.

Here in the high country you can do what you want. That is a little dramatic. It was only in the past couple of years that WY passed the "open container law". You can still drive around with a gun in your Jeep. Just not concealed.

Certainly enjoy peoples opinions on these matters. Makes for healthy discussion. More often then not it comes down to basic civility. Right up there with; do not yell fire in a crowded theater. I live in Vacationland U.S.A. I just love pissing people off. Always try and get away with as much as possible.

Bummer ride for that company. Seems like they tried to do the right thing by turning the screens around. Kind of ironic that a bunch of drunks hit a bunch of drunks.

Normally such behaviour would only cause the police to stop you if it infringes a law. If it is legal to own and watch porn (providing your porn wasn't of the illegal type) then no crime as such has been committed. If however you are causing a public nuissance (big screen and sound right up) then they could do you for that. Otherwise they could only act on a complaint from a member of the public. And they would probably just ask you to turn it off.
Different areas do have different bye-laws and you might get done for something like 'lewd display in a public place'.
And if it's a good film and you get carried away they could do you for dangerous driving or not being in control of the vehicle ("novel gear stick you have there, sir")
