Maybe I should go to some department stores and ask if they have any damaged mannequins they wouldn't mind letting go of...

Good luck. I haven't found a torso and head around here for less than $200. The stuffed animals are cheaper, easier to come by and easier to explain to company

I completely understand Strad...but I feel that would be the gem...friends come over and I have a mannequin in my room...I'd be Mr. Popular...how many people do you know with mannequins just sitting around their apartment/house? It'd be awesome...I'm sure I could find something...I could talk them into giving it to me for free I'm sure...perhaps I'll talk the manager into letting me have it in return for free personal computer work for a little while...or something...I love bartering for things with my skills...

Just be careful how you ask. I'm pretty sure if you walked in to a department store and asked the manager if you could have some time alone with one of their mannequins, you'd end up on some sort of law enforcement list.
