best way to check is to go to ebay, do a custom search, look for completed items. Look at the average and try to sell it less or equal to that (since you dont have to pay ebay fee, paypal fee, shipping, insurance etc.). I do this when I try to sell something or buy something.

I try to upgrade/sell my older bodies when they still have some value. I had a d200 as a backup camera that I just sold because of the $550 I can still get for it--if I waited much longer nobody would want a CCD sensor camera and it would be worth far less.
