Like the title says, I'm new. New to the forum, and relatively new to photography, as well. Up until a week ago, I had only cheap point and click cameras which I probably could have done more with, but never had the ambition. I was looking for a new camera, saw a great deal on a Fuji FinePix s5200, and decided it was a nice upgrade. Not quite a DSLR, but it's allowed me to explore things like manual focus, aperture, and all sorts of other terms I'd never really understood (or even heard of) in the past.

I realise that the photographer makes the photo, not the camera, but this upgrade was what really inspired me. So, it's fun to play with, and it's good to be here!
