I don't shoot Potraits often. Critique?

Hi, I usually don't do this, but I want to expand as a photographer and learn much more. I usually shoot automotive, but I want to try portraiture. Let me know what you think.

the lighting is a bit harsh and highlights the flaws in your model's skin; her hair doesn't stand out enough against the background (left hand side). And I personally wouldn't have left so much empty space (right hand side).

You could have shot in portrait orientation for this pose and that may help thin the face. Speaking of the pose if you would have raised the camera level a bit you would get rid of that pesky skin crease in her neck.

I might suggest you give it another run in post and use that clone tool on those forehead blemishes.

I'm still a beginner in the lighting department but maybe try to pull your light toward the camera in order to get your catch-lights within the iris. Also a hair light or reflector usage on the hair will bring a lot more depth to a portrait.
