Aquariums are a hard nut to shoot in, the lights often give you either underexposed or over....this one is over, but maybe for your daughter you could give it a little work in edit;)

I live about 10 mins away from the National aquarium in Baltimore. I think its wonderful, but never have brought my camera to shoot there. I dont get there much, but I think their jelly exhibit would be amazing to shoot. Those upside down jellies look amazing. Ill have to get out there one of these days. I can already feel the frustration of the place as far as shooting goes. Id like to get a half decent monopod first. Id love to see some more photos from the day. This one is a tad overexposed and youve got some motion blur going on..but thats to be expected, I suppose.

Mark

PS. I deem the citron/clown goby on the bottom right to be Frank.

Pretty good attempt for shooting thru glass! I personally also would remove the littel fish (right bottom) but the little motion blur works well for me in this image. Water always has a little movement going on! ;)

I really liked this image; i would enjoy this innocently as your child; the motion blur is positive suggesting the state of things there; the anemone's glow like appearance makes this a good image

thank you all for the responses!
i'll have to open this back up and tone it down a bit.

i want to go back without my kid so i can spend a little more time playing with the camera, instead of her :-P
