I have a suggestion.

I've moderated many forums.

The three main reason that this function isn't implemented on most forums now:

1. Is because in the early days some people that had contributed to a forum would after a while delete all of their threads when they decided to leave therefore taking all of the information with them.

2. If someone makes a threat or makes a criminal statement it's easier to track it if the thread title can be reported.

3. It also prevents someone that gets butthurt from taking down a thread that has value to the community.

In the early days there was the ability on some to delete threads by users. Pair this with the inability to have information backed up and all of the information was lost.

Now most forum software has it as a moderator function by default, some don't even have user deletion as an option still.

@snowbear What do you mean? I can actually PM one of the mods? How?
1. Click on Inbox at top right of the browser window.
2. Select Start a New Conversation
3. Start typing the mod's screen name in Participants. There are a few that don't hang out anymore, so I'd look on the main page for "Staff Online Now."
4. The Conversation Title and Body work the same way as the forum posts.
