Okay, here is my edit. I did not know how to select around the fine hairs and I really wanted to keep them so I went and took his right ear and copied it and flipped it to fit. I think it turned out well but please let me know if you can see any odd lines/ etc. My computer must not be calibrated because it looks fine on my screen but when I sent it to a friend, he got a much lighter image with less contrast and some lines were visible on his but I cannot see them at all on my screen.

Colors look wonky to me.

Aside from that, go for it.. cats are a fun subject. I shoot mine now and again. They can be very interesting. (and I have four of them... :lol:

)

btw, two pet owner tips... 1. Kittens are better, more fun, and happier in pairs. 2. Cats lead statistically far longer lives indoors.

okay, thanks. He is an indoor cat and he plays with my iguana and frilled dragon quite a lot (not exactly another kitten but close enough).

Not possible - cats are always planning out ways to kill you. It's in their genes - cats are the only mammalian true carnivores. I don't trust 'em!

At any rate - it is a cute cat but I do agree with the keeping it indoors thought. Cats allowed outdoors are equivalent to small scale ecological disasters - they will kill anything they can. Keep the little guy safe and sound inside. I like both shots but the first one looks a little over-photoshopped to me. That's just my personal preference, though.
