I learned a new lighting trick!

Except I hate my softbox! It's huge. A pain to setup I nearly break my flash bulb trying to attatch it to the strobe. Super off balance when I need it tall and pointed down.... I pretty much hate the thing!

Don't hate the softbox, balance it! If you can't balance it with existing mounts, time to get inventive! Figure out where to add some additional weight or clamp it to something.

A while back, I used my large umbrella on an ordinary light stand, but I discovered that I needed to clamp one edge of the umbrella to the doorway trim so the umbrella would not tip way over.
