Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Say, for one day you had to professionally use a cheaper camera. Just a normal everyday transportable light camera and use that for taking a professional photograph.
What settings would you have it on?
How would you use it so that a portrait photo looks amazing.
I really need help!
I have someone already booked in On thursday but whether or not my new camera will be here is a worry.
For some reason my camera doesn't want to focus ever. Full stop.
Ive tried changing settings etc.
Im thinking maybe its the movement because if you see the flower I took on the other thread I have its only a smidge off on the focus.
Please help me. I don't want to embarrass myself....

You booked a client before you even have your camera???

*sigh*

What settings???

Depends on the light, as always, ever and ever.

They couldn't make it any other day and they are emergency photos for a birthday and I am charging the cheapest in my area.
SETTINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS,
SCN,
PORTRAIT,
FLASH,
MACRO,
+O.O EXPOSURE
WB AUTO
AF MODE-FACE/iESP
FRAME RATE: 30FPS

What camera do you currently have? Settings, features, resolution are going to change greatly between p&s models...

I only just found where the frame rate controls are, so that was a relief.
I have an Olympus T-110. Truly, a very standard camera. Great Super Macro though just not excellent in all other areas. Cant wait for my new one!
has af 3x optical zoom (nothing interesting) and 6.3-18.9mm 1:3.1-5.9

Honestly, Im not sure where youre located but I would consider renting some equipment for the shoot if you can afford it. Even if it cuts into your profits from this one, if you want repeat business and good recommendations, you may want to see what it would cost in your area to rent a decent dslr.... there are companies that do such things, or even just people in your area that might be comfortable letting you use their equipment. No one is going to appreciate a high-pressure situation where you cant get the camera to cooperate, or decent pictures to be produced.

Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

I live in Newzealand and Ill be honest I wont have any luck hiring.
Im lucky that the person is my friend but i still do not like being unprofessional in ANY way

Try portrait mode.
Really pay attention to focusing.
Offer many poses.
Looks like your in a bit of a jam.
Luck be with you!

A professional photograph is any one for which you are paid. Aim camera, press button, that's all there is to it. A good quality image on the other hand is a horse of a very different colour. Without the abiltiy to shoot RAW, control off-camera lights (or even a decent shoe-mounted speedlight), with a sensor so small that your sensor is verging on the infinite... your only option is, as Sweber suggested to rent the necessary gear. I would submit that if you have to ask a question like that, you are a long way from the point where you should be charging for your work.
