I've a Nikon D90 and I'm a beginner at photography. During photo (few times) when Exposure Mode Selector is at P program the photo shotting gets slower, is this normal when you choose this program or is something wrong with my camera .

If you are shooting multiple frames in rapid succession it could be that the buffer is full. The camera will ignore a shutter actuation if the memory buffer is full.

Plus, there are other settings, such as High ISO NR (noise reduction) and/or 3D Active D-Lighting, that also contribute to filling the memory buffeer quickly at lower frame shooting rates.

I suspect there is nothing wrong with your D90, and that because the D90 is new to you, and you are relatively new to photography, your understanding of how the D90 functions hasn't yet matured.

It is always helpful to be very familiar with the information in the camera users manual.
