I need print help, please.

I took a photo of a local covered bridge with fall foliage surrounding it that my mother just loves. It is an 8x10 crop, file size being 17x13 roughly. She wants larger than 8x10 if possible, but obviously a 17x13 print is a complete oddball size and I know that is not "right." I shoot with a 7d and would like to "blow" this image up for a wall hanging if possible. Can anyone help me figure this out or am I stuck at 8x10 or 10x12 or similar?

Pixel size is 3334 x 4167.

How large does she want? You can safely go up a fair bit. You aren't going to view an image that large at point blank, so you are fine. Billboards were printed with images from 3MP cameras.

Something like a 16x20 would be ideal.

I guess the brain fart was more than I thought lol. I know the theory behind viewing distance and resolution...just didnt come to mind. Thanks you!

File size can't be 17x13. File size will be a number like 10 Mb, or 8.27 Mb, or 972 kb.

What are the pixel dimensions of the cropped image?

8x10 is a 5:4 aspect ratio. So is 16x20. For both the long side of the image is 1.25 times longer than the short side 5 divided by 4 = 1.25.
17x13 has the long side 1.31 times the short side, or more rectangular. (Your 7D makes images that have a 3:2 aspect ratio (8x12, 16x24))

Back to the pixel dimensions. The pixel dimensions and the Pixels-Per-Inch resolution value assigned to the image determines the print size.

If the image pixel dimensions are 1600 x 2000 pixels, and 100 PPI is assigned to the image it will be a 16x20 inch print. 1600 pixels divided by 100 PPI = 16 inches, and 2000 pixels divided by 100 PPI = 20 inches (the pixels cancel leaving only inches for the units).

The same 1600x2000 pixels assigned 200 PPI will be an 8x10 print. 1600 pixels divided by 200 PPI = 8 inches.

Easy but more expensive because both the mat and the frame must at least semi-custom.

With all the onliine services and framing companies out there this has really become a competitive market and you can get good pricing.

Tony S. is right there are plenty of business that offers re-sizing and framing photo this will do the work for you since they are using softwares to easily resize a photo without any hassle.
