Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I keep recieving this error message every time that I try to upload a pic from my hard drive.
tlamour, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
- Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
- If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

This happens to every thread that I try to post in, even the threads that I posted in previously.

When I try to add a link from flickr, a blue box with a question mark appears instead of the pic.
Can someone please help.

From flickr.....
Click on "You"
click on "Share"
Mark BBCode
Copy and paste what is in the box
Yell if that doesn't work.....=)

(Not picking on you, I know that is the same link everyone pastes whenever this question comes up...)

A lot has changed in the last 4 years. That tutorial was written in 2007. Posting pictures from Flickr is almost a one-click process now...

Once I have found the picture I want to show, it takes me exactly 3 clicks to get it into the reply box here (not counting switching from the Flickr tab to the TPF tab), and I don't even have to touch my keyboard once.

Yes.. the post looks like it could stand some updating.. but hey, a lot of the info is still good! So I post it! lol! Seems to help the noobs that need it.. :)

I started doubting what I said about 3 clicks without using a keyboard, so I tested it, lol. I don't think this will work if you run windows or mac... In Linux, highlighting text automatically copies it, you click the middle wheel to paste it. (BTW - this is separate from the regular copy & paste (ctrl+c & ctrl+v) - there are basically two separate copy & paste buffers). After I tested it out, I can do it - but one of those clicks is a click and drag.

After I'm on the picture I want to post: Click (1) Share. Click (2) and drag to highlight the text that comes up. Middle Wheel Click (3) the text into the reply box. With windows you would have to substitute the clicking for pressing ctrl+c & ctrl+v on the keyboard... I don't know if there is a way to make windows do that or not - I love it though, so it would certainly be cool if you could.

I tested it after you said something.. and it is very easy... but I only put my keepers on Flickr anyway.. and use Photobucket mostly! (which is also easy!) :)

Yes but Overread edited the post on how to upload photos recently. When I first signed up most of the directions in that thread didn't work.

...Not the one that was (and usually is) posted.

Maybe I need to find the most recent version then.. I just have one bookmarked that I throw at people that are having trouble, and it may not be the latest, greatest! lol!

IMO, there should not be multiple, conflicting stickies on one subject. The thread that was posted is obsolete and should either be deleted or overhauled.
