I thought I liked this when I took it

But I'm not sure if I do. I hate that I couldn't exclude the closer houses, but I liked that cactus in the foreground but there weren't many of them in that area to choose from. Not sure exactly why I'm hating it now... any ideas? What could I do differently with a scene like this? (Besides time of day obviously)

Nice shot! Yeah, the cactus messes with the balance of the shot a bit. Shooting from a vehicle, or could you have walked up to the shrub? Then you could have removed the distraction of both of them. The houses aren't so bad.

This was a walk up a 'path' for a bit, so I could get anywhere I wanted to. Just wasn't finding a good spot in general. Maybe I'll take a wider lens out and try to get up past the clutter some more. Experiment a bit
