I tried to find eagles today but found Mergansers instead

I spent hours and hours hiking on various trails that are supposed to be "eagle spots" The woods were empty except for a downy woodpecker and 2 bluebirds very far away. I was at many spots and did get a few cool shots... Getting over this flu thing finally, but it made me a little off my game. Even lost my expensive Under Armour gloves and hat somehow

I thought this red breasted merganser with a catfish was the weirdest thing..

I also saw my first pair of Hooded Mergansers (talk about blown highlights - yikes)
