Fuji already has a lineup of lenses. The 44x33m sensor can be covered by MANY legacy 35mm lenses!

Yeah, frame rate tends to drop as data throughput needs go up, and at 100 MP, the amount of data that must be read,processed, and written is pretty high. As long as it keeps up with the strobes, it's plenty fast for fashion/catalog/product work.

I am actually thinking that as a mirrorless and a med. format, that attached to a view camera system will be killer for landscape.

Yeah, if I had an extra $10K, I'd use it for my portrait work. But I'd probably just get a 400mm f/2.8 instead.

I am deadly serious in that I have been trolling KEN and others for a mamiya 645 or Hassy or even Pentax for a body around $800.

there was a 39Mp Hassy on KEH a bit back for $1200 in Bg. shape..

OK not new or perfect, but battle scars mean nothing if it dont hurt the image.

I wouldn't for the simple reason Gen 1 products are best left to those who thrive at the bleeding edge.

Ergo issues such as the vertical grip or lack thereof, grip, are one of the issues. The decision of Fujifilm to employ SD card storage is just ridiculous in this level of camera, at a minimum is should be XQD with a CFast future conversion.

The price is really good when you compare it to the Phase One. All their current GF lenses are compatible. It's a tool and if your making money with it, price is not an issue. I bought the GFX50R and a few jobs paid for it. It is a wonderful image producer but not a camera you would grab for a soccer game per say. Landscape, product, and portrait is where it shines. Technically, you could use it for anything but not the best tool. If you compare the price to others in its class, its a super value for a medium format system camera. They are also adding a couple more zooms to the line up.

Well ... there is no way I would spent $10k on ANYTHING else but this if I had them "spare".

I would need a bit more than that so I could also get the Fujinon GF 45mm f2.8, though.


P.s.: First reports indicate you CAN use this camera for sports, which is an absolute first for medium format.
