There is absolutely little redeeming about this image ... poor light, poor composition, the icicle on the left is broken

Try backlighting durring the day. Plus the most interesting part of an icicle is it's tip

Although, I will say that I like the reverse-color aspect of the OP's images. The ice was black, while the imperfections - the air bubbles - were white. I think this concept could be great, if the OP found some better icicles and better framing.
