Just thought I would ask for some help identifying this bird. I believe that it is a Muscovy Duck. I had not seen one before taking these photos of this one at the park.

Correct it is a Muscovy. Florida has a wild population that is countable if you are a birder. Texas may also allow them to be counted.

Aren't they beautiful.

Not sure that I'd use the word beautiful myself but they are very interesting birds. The colors all go together really nicely. I really did like the green and black of the feathers and how it goes with the red plumage/bill.
 
I have some in my neighborhood. They are very easy going and not afraid of humans, at least around here.
 
There are wild ones here in Colombia too.
