If not PS CS2 then what for a mac?

I realy need a PS program and realy don't want to spend the $ on PS CS2 but want somthing that works well with a mac. I have os10 and I have PS 5.0 but it is very slow on my puter and not campatable with OS10 so I have to run "classic startup" Any way just thought someone else ran into this before and wanted to know what others are doing....

Gimp is a good free alternative to PS.

I almost forgot about Adobe Elements. It's basically a scaled-down version of Photoshop for less money. Might be worth checking out if you want the feel of Photoshop but without the price. But still, if you want to go the free route then GIMP is the way to go.
