If you could only have two filters...

You said you were planning on picking up two filters for each lens. There's a cheaper way.

I also have two lenses, each with a different diameter. But I use the same filters on both. How? I use step-up rings for the SMALLER diameter lens. This lets me use the filter for the larger lens on my smaller lens while avoiding vignetting. The rings are lots cheaper than a second filter.

Works for me.

That would be my pick as well. And if we could only have 3 I'd add yellow as that's all I really ever use at all anymore.

Yellow would be pick #3 for me as well. I use one much more often than the #25, but I could live without it if I had to. I don't use the pol or #25 as much, but when I do they are indespensible.
We see eye to eye on the first two.Love the effect red has on BW.
My third would be Yellow-Green
