...With a self portrait :)
let me hear your thoughts

As a technical or artistic exercise, it doesn't do anything for me. There's nothing in this photograph, to me, that makes it memorable. Maybe more dramatic lighting, remove the glasses.

alright thank you :)

While you were away, a new guy came and took your place as the fellow people love to hate on. Er...think. Kahy-barrio, sort-of...as for this selfie....ehhh...it makes you look older than you are by at least 10 years.

haha thanks I think...

more thoughts?

I dont like it. I think it's unflattering, the focus looks weird and it's boring.

i can see where you are coming from on a artistic point of view, but it doesn't really do much for me, good try tho :)

It doesn't work for me because the light is... backwards. The lightest area of the photo is the background, followed by the ear. It's an ear shot. Your face is the darkest lit part of the photo but it should be the lightest and the ear should be in shadow because it's not what we're interested in seeing (nor is it, in my opinion, a particularly attractive part of the human anatomy). I think if you retook this exact same shot, composition and pose, but with you facing an open-sky-lit window or any large lightsource without any other ambient light around you, it could be a striking image.

Thank you

It's e11a!!!! I have to say it's refreshing to see less editing haha =P But unfortuately I have to agree with the cc given...The way the lighting is working right now, the focus of this shot is your ear. But maybe that's what you were going for... ;)

Haha yes its me, I will try taking a new shot tonight thanks for the advice :)

I must be a strange-duck, because I like this self-portrait...it looks like a still-frame from a movie...and you have a thoughtful expression...better than my avatar IMHO...and its a different composition then most you see...I like the glasses...there's no unflattering and annoying reflections...so taking them off was an odd piece of advice...if you wear glasses, then wear them in the portrait...nice to see you back...but why did you leave?

One thing I noticed weird is the halo from the high-pass filter you applied and the OOF ear...

If you wouldn't have cut the left side off it would have been better but all in all its ok.

Well Thank you like i said I will try again tonight
