What's new

I'm going to get this landscape stuff down pat

In both number 2 and 5 you had the chance to make a dazzling shot. Take the shot like you did, then take a second shot with an off camera flash or flashlight on both the flower in #2 and the spider in #5. You then merge the two together. Use a tripod so the exact same angle is is done. Then you will have a nice sunset and the subject will be seen.

If I read the word "tripod" one more time I'm going to cry, hahaha.

I really really reaaaally need to get one but just don't have the money to spare right now.

Wait a minute from another post I know you are also trying to do time lapse.

And your not using a tripod.

Go down to the camera store and buy even a cheek tripod.

You say you want to get good at landscape and you also want to do time lapse. Then get a tripod.

Sell some plasma or something. Tripods are SO important for what you are wanting to do.

Hey, I'm selling my current tripod... it's kind of an el-cheapo, but it'll do the trick for what you're wanting to do. It supports my DSLR just fine, so a point and shoot it would be cake for. It has a quick release. It's a Vanguard MAK 233, comes with a bag. $45 + shipping.

I can barely spare $20 for gas =/

As for the time lapse, I've been setting my camera on the ground (well actually it's a giant concrete thing out on the lake in the water..perfectly level so I don't have tilting problems.
I'll just have to way for a few paychecks to come in before I can consider..
my girlfriends prom just drained me $180 for a tux..plus a $350 speeding ticket, lol.
