Can others edit my Photos

I have such a long way to go yet but, at least to my eye I'm getting better. I'd love to hear your honest opinions and any C&C you have.

Thanks,

Mike

It might help others help you if you list the equipment used and what settings you used and why you chose those settings ?

#2 has promise but the dark shadow in the upper right corner is distracting. It is also a bit tight on the crop. Keep at it and thanks for sharing.

Hi Mike and thanks for posting. I'll give you my run down of your shots

1. I would have searched for a better blossom. This one is pretty mangled
2. The best in the bunch. Nice colors and contrasts. I like your choice of shutter speed here. was this intentional or lucky?
3. Might be my least favorite. It's a slightly under exposed stone wall, but I'm afraid that's all I'm getting from it.
4. Right down there with #3. Focus and subject issues. I know what it is, but I'm not really sure why it is
5. Nicely lit. Good focus. While maybe not an award winner, it's a pleasant photo.
6. Runner up with #2, but I think a crop might be in order. I know some may be whispering in the corner "Oh my gosh, can you believe he centered the subject." but for me anyway, there has to be a reason for every rule. I can't find any reason why this wouldn't be centered.

Thanks again for sharing. Nice job. Just keep your subject matter and selective focus in mind

For numbers 3, 4, and 6 - I would go a little softer on the vignetting.

#1 Increase the saturation and lighten up a bit.

I agree with EOV on #2, but shadows can be tough to work around sometimes. A slightly different angle of approach may help.

Keep at it!

Rick,

And everyone else thanks for the input.

1. The Dogwoods are just blooming so, that was as good a blossom as I could find.

2. Shutter speed was a choice lol

6. I like your crop actually
