Im looking for a good sport lens, 70-200 sigma 2.8

I'm looking to start shooting sports event such as lil league baseball and boxing, but can't figure out what lens to pick up. I current has tamron 28-70 2.8 & canon 28-135 3.5.

Depending where you are shooting from 70 mm may be to long for boxing, but not for little league baseball. 200 mm is a bit short for little league baseball, unless you don't mind having to do a lot of cropping to increase subject scale in the final image.

I would recommend at least a zoom of 300 mm for baseball, and 400 mm would be better. I used a Sigma 150-500 mm f/5-6.3 for the long shots of daytime youth soccer, and a second body with a Nikon 24-85 mm f/2.8-4 for the closer in shots.

If you have VIP seats, than I would recommend you to use the Tamron 28-70. Boxing is quite easy to use as there are many spotlights around. For baseball, I would recommend the 70-200 Sigma as your minimum. 300mm would be ideal but I think Sigma does not have it yet.
