Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi, I'm Stephanie. I stumbled into photography after needing a release from work. After finishing my nursing and working for about two years I was looking for something other than poking people in the bum with big needles.

I received my first camera that was not disposable last year. My fiancé gave me the rebel t2i with kit lens. I've aquired the nifty fifty, 10-20mm f/2.4 wide angle and had a telephoto lens lent to me for about 3 months now. Im currently saving to upgrade hopefully at the end of this month.

I have a tough skin and I'm tired of showing my photos to those near and dear to me and have only positive comments. Dont get me wrong I appreciate the praise but I'm looking to learn and expand my skills and I'm just not getting that.

I love looking at others work, with an open mind have you, and using their photos as inspiration to model my own style (which I'm still looking for).

Now if i can only figure out how to add my photos. Cheers!

Upload to a place like Flickr, or Photobucket...grab the link that ends with .jpg

Then here, click the picture icon above the text box, click "from URL", paste the .jpg link, and then UNCHECK the "retrieve file to reference locally" tic box.

Good luck, and welcome and stuff.

I'm not sure what 10-20mm f/2.4 lens is. You might have put the wrong info. Perhaps 3.5 sigma?

I rather be a noob than a fake. Welcome!

Oops you are so right. It is the sigma. I don't know where I got the f-stop from

Welcome to the forum Stephanie.

Welcome to TPF! Jump right in, okay? The water's fine!

The water is GREAT! Just watch out for the sharks and piranha! :lmao: But seriously though. Just like anywhere on Earth, you will run into all sorts here. Just ignore the bad ones (wish we could that in real life) and learn what you can from the rest. Heck even the "bad" ones sometimes have a moment of inspiration and actually help someone.

They are quit to praise aren't they, I wish they would be honest with me so I could get better.

Starting class on the 22nd. I'll upload what I have now and what I take when class starts. Be honest, but fair. Lets see what james can do.
