What's new

I'm with Mike and PNA

and another thing! whos the sorry s-o-b who . . .

just kidding. i think the points we wanted heard were heard, and judging from how things in the critique section has been going i applaud the feedback section.

Yes, it seems the use of the "stamp" has been reconsidered....everything in moderation.

Thanks for everyone's input.....

I have read this thread from top to bottom, and several pages of critique threads, both new and old. It is with GREAT reluctance that I comment, but here goes. Has anyone ever seen a critique where all judges say "It's perfect, I have no criticism what-so-ever, great work!" Didn't think so. My point, critiques are really just opinions. True, a lot of work needs work. Most images put up for critique are in real need of criticism and guidance. But in a forum setting, without actual qualified judges, it is just everyone's opinion. And we all know that opinions are like A$$h0le$, everyone has one. So, can any "fix" work on a forum in the critique section? I really have my doubts. I think maybe Chase was correct to consider getting rid of the section. I do commend those who stood up for what they believe in, on both sides of the debate.
OK, off the soapbox. I can now go back to the Nikon vs. Canon wars or out back and work on getting the studio setup. I return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I'd like to thank you for you interest in the issues....

It's my pleasure, just an old farts opinion. BTW, I respect both your and Charlie, you two are a great read, and an asset to the forum. Thanks for everything.

Yep, you're in with the right crowd.....have you notice how young the majority of the members are? Actually I think their level of interest in photography is just great. With the digital format, everyone can now take pictures with inexpensive investments and learn to improve by joining forums such as this. Frankly I'm not turned on by skateboard and most car shots, but overall these kids (0 to 50+) take some wonderful pictures, many with interesting stories behind them. Personally I have learned a great deal viewing and reading the threads, the tips on using different programs has been extremely valuable to an armateur like me. :)

You are calling me a kid, right? ;)

Well, a week ago I have been asked to show my ID again when buying beer. :-P So I hope there is a chance for me to get younger again ;)
