Impromptu photoshoot!

This is a shot I took of one of my friends while hanging out in the local park. I've been experimenting with layer masks lately, and I was hoping if some of you photoshop gurus out there could give me some feedback! thanks!

She looks slightly green, the colors.. well.. they certainly pop!, and wide lenses are not very flattering

It sounds like you're looking for critique on something specific, though?

Yeah, just the overall editing in general. Here's the original

I like the original a little better color wise, although it could have used some fill flash. she looks jaundiced in the edit.

Her face is very blue, badly underexposed and full of color noise - all pretty typical of skin in the shadows.
Your camera is reading the sky to get the exposure.
Expose for the skin.

What Lew said, and set your WB using the white of her shirt; that will at least get you in the ball-park.

You kind of overdid the colors there a bit. ^^
A small white balance correction fixes a lot of the colors like other said.
Also increasing the overall exposure a bit helps.
Adding some contrast will make the colors pop a bit more.

Ps. I think this photo looks pretty nice in black and white...
