Great pose, light & DOF. Highlights are a touch too bright though.

I looks like you were outdoors? If so, there is no reason to use the Lightsphere, it just makes your flash work much harder (giving you slower recycle times).

Ditch the Fong Dong.. people will make fun of you . I would bring down the exposure a tad and increase the flash. The right side of her face is still too bright IMO>

Thanks for the comments guys! Will definitely keep this in mind next time around for our Daughter's 5 year photos, but that isn't until July.

The only reason for the flash was for some fill light, it was on camera. The harsh light to her right was from the sun.

We were out in a local park taking our Son's 3 year pictures, at that moment he wasn't being very cooperative so I fired off a shot at my wife to test the lighting .

Was literally a 'Hey honey, smile!' moment, but it was in the location we had planned for the shoot. Flash ended up being turned down 1/3 stop, still felt I needed it to battle some shadows and the sun itself.

I like the use of flash here, and the flash exposure looks pretty good too. It's just the sun's exposure is too bright.

Never occured to me until just now when you mentioned that, but I should have dome some negative exposure compensation instead of trying to match the light with my flash. :banghead:
