In a paddy

Rice fields (paddy) behind my house,which sits on the edge of Jakarta,Indonesia,marking the boundary between city and country.

These boys were shooting for the swallows which swoop over the fields at the end of the day.

Wow...

Those are really interesting.

The third one is really awesome.

The colors on them all are great.

For some reason I find the first one disturbing. Couldn't tell you why.

I also like the third one the best. The tree leaves provide a natural canopy look over the boys. In the first one, that upper tree leaf is a little distracting to me, but otherwise, I love the shot. Great shots and the colors are beautiful.

#3 is a good shot. Using the trees as a natural frame was nice.

BTW, I might have lowered the lens just a hair in the third shot- it's cut a little too close to their butt IMO. Just a hair tho.

I'm not too fast on the draw-was still "holstered" when spotted them-and me trying to climb down a slippery tree trunk lol -but could have taken more time.

Banana flower..makes a good soup.

A group of these kids tried to teach me how to set snares for edible birds...and when I failed to catch anything,gave me an oven-ready one from their own cache.

I like egg drop soup! hehe, I'd try it though. Sorry about the snare problem, Bear Grylls makes it look so easy on tv. I know its not easy at all though. I like the pic of the banana flower also, looks very interesting.
