The females are usually another week before they make their appearance.

I didn't make it to the camera on the first sighting but I knew he'd be back within fifteen minutes and I was ready !

Look at those tiny feet!

We get ruby-throats here, as well. We've spotted two this week, both times in the early evening, one male and one female.

Our feeder is officially up for the season.

I was at the MN/CA border fishing this week. Watched a male check out an empty feeder. Reminded me I need to fill and hang mine.
