In The Background

Good focus on the leaf and the exposure is good, but I think I'd like it better if the person in the background wasn't partially clipped off - makes it look like an oops, or stalker.

Actually, the composition is terrible, the person in the back is just there..adding no significance what so ever. The left side of the leaf is blown out and the focus isnt really all that wonderful. The bottom of the leaf under it is also cut off and quite distracting.

Sorry to be "that guy", but you did say to C&C. Keep shooting. Itll get better with practice. :thumbsup:

I looked at your post "Abandonment" and you have no composition in any of those pictures. If composistion is so important, why don't you use it?

Youre partly right. Some of them do not have great composition., but there are at least basic elements at play: emphasis, leading lines, etc. And, if you notice, nowhere on that thread does it ask for "C&C". Yours does. You asked for my input (although indirectly), I never asked for yours. I was trying to be constructive, you are trying to be destructive. I dont mean to blow my own whistle, but on almost every other post Ive done shows photos with at least technical merit, if not artistic merit. Yours shows neither. Everything that the photo shows is clearly accidental as well. The camera was in full auto, so the blurred background was more or less a happenchance event.

So, keep shooting. Everyone starts somewhere. When you post on the forum and ask for criticism, you should expect criticism.

Even though this image of yours is not working, one can find the creative spark in it; i am not a great photographer,even though i too get some good images, those are appreciated by the viewers.But my humble request to you is that please don't be disturbed and go to such level of abuses. Even the one who criticizes your image(not you) would whole heartedly appreciate you while you post a classic image next time; you must answer criticism with your camera; wishing you all the best

Hello, you asked for C&C there and so you should expect criticism, and criticism are never a delight. You shouldn't use demeaning languages like that because it just puts others off from you and you won't receive any comment because they'll expect to be insulted at. Try to learn from others even if their reply isn't really comforting. You shouldn't think Markw is entirely wrong, because I do agree with him to a certain point.

You shouldn't complain when people are trying to help you.

As if there was no photographic integrity to the images shown what-so-ever. It could have been stated as "Looking at your "Abandoned.." thread, could you help me understand what composition techniques you used in these?" or something similar.

I'm so tired of people coming to this site asking for CC then writting a shed load of verbal abuse at people.... read the site rules, no personal attacks allowed, regardless of whether in YOUR mind you are being 'attacked'.

In fact, the last few times i gave people who did exactly this an infraction, they just don't take it well at all and end up saying 'i hope you gave everyone else in that thread one too'...
So i will just say, i don't think you will get on in this forum, and now you probably won't be able to read this either.... so its kind of pointless other than to act as a warning to any other noobs of this forum. :meh:
