In the parc with a Nikon 70-300 VR AF-S wide open

Hi, I just got in the park yesterday late in the evening. So I got sunset light and no sun at all.
I think it is an excellent lens. It has a look of Zeiss, no kidding.
The aperture is wide open.

wow I love the setting. The colors are wonderful and it looks like the perfect day and time to shoot. I'm not feeling the subjects though, the poses are awkward and some of the crops are unusual.
Was this just a portrait shoot or did it signify anything?

I like the last shot the best. Might have been better without the head tilt.
