What can you gather from this photo? And who was the photographer N Charmantay? Info on him? This is a family photo I found.

Apparently he was a photographer in France. Maybe try a museum or historical society in the area of Rouen and see if they might have other photos from that era with the same photographer's name on it.

Looks like a cabinet card which were done during Victorian times.
