I'm not sure, is it some typebod cicada?

A suggestion, When shooting anything that has eyes always try to get them in focus. I guess a potato could be an exception.

They have beautiful eyes.. but the OP's shot is slightly OOF! Cant see them that well! keep on shooting.. and work on that razor sharp focus!

Yep, this is a katydid. The focus on this shot is actually on the thorax of the insect, but with a critter like this you'd want to emphasize those awesome crystal blue eyes (get those in focus). Also, the toes on his middle set of legs have been clipped.

Thank you, I actually meant a katydid. mixed up my instect names. It doesnt look anything like a cicada.

X2 and more .. try to shoot perpendicular to body length so you can get it all in focus.
