First photo is OK, the second doesn't do anything for me. I don't care for either of the captions.

past participle - definition of past participle by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

"A verb form indicating past or completed action or time that is used as a verbal adjective (as in modifies a noun) in phrases such as baked beans and finished work and with auxiliaries to form the passive voice or perfect and pluperfect tenses in constructions such as She had baked the beans and The work was finished. Also called perfect participle."

That would be "learnt lessons" not "lessons that were learnt"

To be fair, when the language is used as part of the image, in an intended format, I think it becomes fair game. I myself find it hard to be inspired by errors.

And even if it's not an outright error, it has a non standard feel to it... either archaic and preachy... or British which would be even less inspiring ;-)

If you wanted critique on just the photos you should have posted them without text.

As far as I'm concerned they look like something I would see on every tumblr blog ever. Heavy handed vintage processing, text that has little or no connection to the photo it's imposed upon, etc.

I guess it's just not my jam. :-/

I enjoy the first one. I wouldn't mind seeing it without all the extra stuff. =)

These make me angry and slightly aroused.
