interesting cloud

Was down at the beach chillin at a bar and walked out to have a smoke and saw this thing in the sky. Reminded me of a mushroom cloud...lol. Snapped a bracketed shot and merged with photomatix.


here is a single shot of it exposed for brightest spot in the center of the cloud.

Here is the bracketed merged shot. I think a tad oversat esp in the blue of the water...as it's not that blue, probly revisit it later and try to make it more as the eye actually saw it.

Wow, that is a very interesting cloud - almost looks unnatural! Maybe it's masking the mother ship?

yeah it was odd. others commented it looked like the life tree in avatar, mothership as you pointed out, various things. lol. The whole thing moved together too, some sort of odd storm system I guess...but it's fun to imagine otherwise.
