The owner of this pickup lives just North of Moscow, ID. He said his grandfather bought the vehicle new. The owner (recently retired) said he took his driver's test in this pickup, at the age of 16, with a broken leg.

Pickups of that vintage weren't far removed from farm machinery--tough, reliable, fixable and near-zero creature comforts! Had an IH Scout briefly--crude but lovable.

"With a broken leg" ...LOL. Different times then. Nowadays some kids don't even want a vehicle. Hard to fathom by those from my generation.

Different times alright! I know of a broke twenty year old girl who didn't turn up for a court hearing last week so she could get compensation for a scam second hand car because she woke up with a bit of a headache. Courage is definitely a thing of yesteryear...

Had a 1956 S120 4x4 for a some years in the seventies. Engine finally needed to be replaced and put in a Black Diamond 264. Wish I still had it!
