Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I've been getting some stuff together for an office area with desk, computer, etc. I ended up getting the Xtand and took a couple shots of it. I would like some feedback on it and comments about the watermark too. Thanks in advance.

When I was first learning PS, I learned that a watermark was to identify the owner of the image. It was usually taught to put it in a place that was hard to remove. Yours is easy to remove. Is that not the case anymore?

Not sure you need so much space around the stand... you could almost crop it as a portrait and still have plenty of room.

Mostly watermarks are just annoying. Nobody is going to steal our photos anyway.

Good call.

Also the desk doesn't make the best backdrop, since it's colorful and your subject is monochrome. The color is stealing attention away from the product.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It helps to get some constructive criticism for the next time I hold the camera :)

That was exactly what I was trying to avoid by making mine somewhat small and simple... hopefully I accomplished that.

My thoughts were to capture it in its 'natural habitat'

Also, I don't really have any large fabric sheets or anything for backdrops just yet.

The color of the desk didn't bother me so much, but I did zoom in to look more closely at the product. At first it looked slick and expensive, like brushed aluminum, until I zoomed in and it looks like plastic and I can see some mold flashing on the upper left arm.

^ It actually is all the anodized aluminum except for the 4 corners which are rubber to hold the phone without scratching it. I'll post up a pic of it from the back so you can see what I mean.

Bitter... the back:

I also got this stand for my macbook so it will work better with another monitor in a dual setup:

Why don't people just buy netbook?

1.Invent the iPad
2.Invent a stand

3. Is it possible to buy an external QWERTY keyboard too? That could be useful :) :)
