IR photography

I bought a Cokin P series IR filter for my 350D and tried taking a few pics this morning. However, they are coming out not quite as i expected.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

a) Exposures not long enough.
b) Need to set the WB(either to a 18% grey or some people say a patch of grass)
c) Alter colours in post processing.

indeed, the exposure needs to be longer. If you can shoot in RAW, you dont have to set your WB, you can do that in your RAW-editor. Way easier if you can.
