Ideas how this was taken?

I really like this picture (I didn't want to embed the photo because it's not mine) I saw on flickr, and I was wondering if anyone knows how it was taken. Is that effect over exposing the photo, is it just great lighting, or is it most post processing? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm sure some post-processing was put into it, but it seems to me just really harsh lighting. I'm no portraiture expert though.

Yeh.
Looks like a light to gradient the background.
2 lights to light the face(from by the camera) from left and low and right and high to make no shadows on the face. Quite powerful lights to kinda wash the skin out.
Post processing to sharpen and maybe a slight blur to smooth the skin totally.

Cool, thanks for the help. I don't have lighting like that yet so I guess it will be a bit before i can reproduce the effect.
