having trouble getting zoom lens to zoom and it get stuck sometimes

Hard to answer without knowing which lens and how it adjusts the zoom. In a lot of modern lenses the zoom ring drives the mechanism by friction, and if something else in the mechanism has more friction for some reason, like being bent, dirty, or whatever, then the zoom ring might turn but nothing happens.

Plastic gears can break and start jamming things. Wear can produce loose materials that can interfere. Dropping or bumping can cause "displaced elements". I love the way you wrote that to include internal glass but it could also mean, anything inside the lens.

Maybe having some problem zooming in the lens. It gets stuck sometimes
