Is it worth updating NIK software plugins?

Hi there,

I'm currently using Nik plugins on top of the Photoshop 5 and I noticed that all of the Nik plugins have some updates. I can't find any what bug-fixes of functionality each version includes. Have you been updating Nik plugins on PS and is it worth it? And is it possible to save my current recipes and favorites in plugins during the update?

Wow! Photoshop 5 (code name - Strange Cargo) brings back old memories (1998 - 2000).

CS 5 is Photoshop 12 (code name - White Rabbit).

Pretty steep at $300 to upgrade all 4.

Absent any published information from Nik describing what I'm paying $300 for - no sale.
